Ask any non-German how they ended up in Berlin, and you’ll hear it: “Came on holiday, never left.” Same for me. I landed here fresh out of Manchester Uni with a Sociology degree, no plans - just a hunger for something different. Nineteen years later, I’m still here: fluent in German, a proud citizen, and completely hooked on this city.

Since 2006, I’ve worked full-time as a private Berlin tour guide, and I still wake up excited for it. Berlin is a wild, layered, unapologetic beast of a city - messy, magnetic, and endlessly fascinating.
